Won't merino wool feel itchy? And what does 17.5 micron mean?

17.5 micron superfine merino fibers are finer than human hair — too fine to feel itchy, even on sensitive skin. Standard wool (25+ microns) causes irritation; this doesn't. OEKO-TEX certified, tested against 100+ harmful substances.
How do I wash and dry it to keep it looking new ? Will it shrink or lose shape?

Machine wash cold max 30°C, delicate cycle, inside out. Lay flat to dry — tumble drying permanently damages merino fibers. Store clean and dry; keep merino in sealed bags to prevent moths. Wear 3–5 days between washes — merino resists odor naturally
Which weight should I choose — 165, 250, or 320 g/m²?

165 g/m² — active pursuits, travel, spring/summer, 40–60°F. 250 g/m² — cold weather, most outdoor activities, 25–45°F. 320 g/m² — frost and low activity, 10–35°F, extreme conditions. Rule: the higher the activity level — the lighter the weight.
